See what I did there?
Last June, while photographing Meagan & Ross' Inn at Warner Hall wedding, I met Kevin. Late into the evening, during the reception, I stepped outside of the inn to take a breather, and to prep for Meg & Ross' sparkler exit. While outside, I happened upon Kevin.
One thing to know about me: I am a chatty gal. Whether we're in 7-11 at 4AM, or browsing the clearance at Madewell at 1PM in the afternoon, if you're in my "vicinity", I WILL talk to you. Or at you--whatever. Naturally, I forced my chattiness upon Kevin, who was looking a little nervous at the time. (I'm pretty sure he's just the most polite human ever and was probably thinking, OMGOMGOMGPLEASESTOP). Why? Because I started rapidly firing questions to him about IF and WHEN he was going to propose to Veronica, his girlfriend. (She wasn't around). As it turns out, Kevin was waiting for Veronica's parents, because he was about to ask them for their permission THAT NIGHT.
Two months later, I was sitting in the living room with one of my other brides (also Megan) and her mother, a few days before her wedding. We were discussing the logistics of, and speculating when Kevin would propose. Megan said she felt he was going to do it, at any time. AND SHE WAS RIGHT! A few days later, Kevin did propose, and she said YES! At Megan's Vintager Inn wedding shortly thereafter, I got to see Veronica's stunning sparkler in person.
Can I tell you how crazy excited I am that Veronica asked me to be her wedding photographer?!
It's a special honor to be chosen as a photographer by a member of a current/previous client's bridal party. Veronica was a bridesmaid in both Meagan and Megan's weddings, and I've photographed her brother Richie's family as well. (Meagan's brother-in-law!) She has seen my work, and at work--at my sweatiest and in the thick of doing what I do. She knows I'll dance behind my camera, and probably cry a little bit too. When you get this involved with the people you work for, it's only natural. She gets me, and I'll do everything I can to get her and her love, this special time of her life.
Over the weekend I drove up to Baltimore to snap these two in all their "Just Engaged" glow. We walked and talked around the city, and I soaked up my time with them both. Next September cannot come fast enough! I'll be flying to Orlando, where Kevin and Veronica will be tying the knot at the Omni Orlando at Championsgate. I am most anticipating photographing Kevin. The way he loves Veronica is unlike anything I've ever seen. He is quiet, gentle, and, if he were an Emoji, he would have ALL the heart eyes.
Cheers to you both, Veronica & Kevin. I feel so incredibly lucky to be with you on this journey. It's going to be amazing!
